6 days to go and more farewells

Farewell party 3 in Paddys was a success and that chapter of parties until early mornings was closed condignly ;-)

Yesterday the movers came to my place in Basel, everything went smooth and quick and I left the city while it was raining, so they made it easy for me... However, it still feels like holiday, haven't really realized that this goodbye was for longer, still expect to see my girls soon for chatting and gossiping...

Now I'm registered in my old hometown again and will see my relatives for another little farewell barbecue before I'll take off to London.
In London everything is still getting picked and packed and sorted... 6 days to go!

Farewell part 2

What a party! Having 20+ people in my little flat was a record and kept me busy the whole night. But before I was cooking yummy chili for the crowd:

I received great gifts which all have to fit into my backpack:

And finally at 2:30am I got rid of the last ones and fell into my bed.

Thanks everybody for coming and helping me drinking all the alcohol... unfortunately I have more prosecco bottles than before now ;-)
I will have best memories of that night!

Let the farewells begin!

To be honest, 4 weeks of farewell celebrations don't make it easier for me to leave all these wonderful people.

• It started with a farewell trip to Amsterdam with my girls: 

• This weekend will be the farewell party at my place for all friends (which involves part of the girls).
• Next weekend the farewell get-together for colleagues (which involves part of the friends).
• And after that John's farewell/birthday-party in London.

I'll probably need a holiday from all the partying afterwards ;-)

Struggeling with African embassies (already!) who don't like visitors without a return-ticket. We don't want to over-organize it, but we risk to be rejected at the border... World traveling is quite stressy and we haven't even left...
