Slowly but surely we are coming to the point of all Must-dos in Cape Town being ticked off.
- Table Mountain hike - check
- Robben Island visit (the former jail in which Nelson Mandela was held 17years) - check
- Boat cruise through the bay - check
- Shopping & eating at the Waterfront and harbour - check
- Visiting the Capes - check
- Strolling downtown along Long Street - check
- Enjoying the beach - check
- Climbing Lion's Head - check
- Sunset at Signal Hill - check
- Visiting museums - check
- Wine tasting and buying - check
- Visiting the National Botanical Garden - check
- Visiting memorials of which you have no clue what it is about - check
- Watching common animals because there is just not much more wildlife to see - check
The weather is constantly sunny and warmer than normal for this season, so we consider ourselves lucky. We have gained a good overview of one of the most attractive cities in the world. The differences between rich and poor, between black and white however seem to be visible at every corner and leaves us with a slightly guilty feeling. On the other side, the constant necessity of being super-cautious where to go and when, what to take and whom to trust are stressful. We enjoyed very much our spacious double room in a quiet and tidy hostel and we enjoyed having Tina & Tim as friends who showed us around.
Another full day is awaiting us tomorrow which we plan to fill with sights & beach and then it'll be time to pack-up for some real adventures...
