So it is almost
time to say goodbye to Cape Town. It has been a great two weeks and the perfect
way to start our travels. It has been nice being able to ease into it rather
than been thrown in the deep end. And it has especially helped having two great friends,
Tina and Tim to hang out with and show us around. If we had started somewhere
more foreign like India or even another African country I think it would have
been much harder to adjust. Cape Town is very much like any other Western city
with all the amenities and facilities you would expect. This has helped the
last two weeks feel like any other normal holiday you would take whilst vacationing
in Europe. But now the fun really starts, no more luxuries or restaurant meals,
it’s time to start enjoying the other Africa, camping in the wilds tracking
down the amazing wildlife and meeting the real indigenous cultures of this
great continent. And I for one can’t wait. Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and
Mozambique here we come.
